pleasant stay with minor issues
The staff provided personalized service, making my single room feel cozy and inviting. The full English breakfast exceeded my expectations, with every component cooked expertly.
The location, while charming, might require a bit more signage for first-time visitors.

Had a great time with friends! We explored the western lakes and enjoyed a relaxing day at the beach. The farmhouse is close to the station and pubs, which made it super convenient. Carole serves a fantastic breakfast, and I highly recommend her cakes. A perfect spot to unwind after a day of adventures.
The only downside was that the room could have been more spacious for our group. It felt a bit cramped at times, especially with our luggage around.

I stayed in the Double Room with Garden View. It was clean and spacious, which was nice. The decor had a welcoming vibe, making it feel cozy. The bed was comfortable, and I got a good night's sleep. The bathroom was decent but could use a few more grab rails for safety. the room was pretty great for relaxing after a day out.

Warm welcome from Carol at Stonehouse. Even with our late arrival, she ordered takeout for us—a real lifesaver. Room was spacious with a little kitchenette, perfect for making snacks. Breakfast in the sunroom was a highlight. the garden view really set a nice tone for the day. The breakfast itself was plentiful, featuring homemade treats which I appreciated. Great tips from Carol about the Coast to Coast Path made my start even better. The only downside was the bed. it felt a bit narrow for two people, which made for a restless night. the temperature in the room also fluctuated a bit. Despite that, the stay was enjoyable, and I'd definitely recommend it to others.

Had an amazing time with friends! We loved the refurbished milking parlour, spacious with good Wi-Fi. The hosts were super welcoming, and breakfast was top-notch. Perfect base for our Coast to Coast Walk and a short train ride from the start. We'd recommend the local pubs and the scenic beach nearby.
Only downside was a lack of some kitchen essentials in the self-catering setup, which we had to request.
